bpost boost
It’s no secret and we’re quite proud of it: we are one of the largest employers in Belgium. As such, we are intent on providing opportunity for training and education to all, at all times, and promoting an inclusive society for every one of us. That’s why we’ve launched bpost boost.
‘bpost boost’ was launched in 2020 with the objective of helping jobseekers into the labor market, to realize their potential and develop the skills needed to start their career. The first focus is to help them get started at bpost, but the company takes its societal role seriously and recognizes that it’s important to teach general skills that can also be used outside of bpost.
Training and inclusion for sustainable employment
We aspire to offer every single employee the opportunity to blossom and grow through existing trainings. We aspire to give everyone the opportunity to build a career by learning the skills they need to work for us. We also develop trainings that enable them to learn new skills in the specific fields of transport and logistics, as well as digital and interpersonal skills.
Upskilling
Angelika worked in a shop before she signed up for one of the bpost boost training courses. In her own words: “I decided to sign up because it was a fabulous opportunity and I knew there would be loads of options at the end of it all.”
The program allows participants to combine classroom learning with on-the-job training to earn their upper secondary school diploma, a driver’s license or even a permanent contract at bpost. It also enabled local performance specialist Gunther to widen his horizons. “I’ve often been able to work on my development in my 20 years at bpost. But to continue my journey I needed a basic diploma.” Don’t fool yourself: bpost boost demands engagement and a willingness to adapt. But it also gives you a chance to think differently about your personal and professional future.
