Learning and work placements

Our aim is to attract even more jobseekers over the next few years to train on the job as versatile postal workers, under the “bpost boost!” umbrella. bpost boost! offers jobseekers two types of training.

Dual learning

Employees who enrol in the dual learning program attend classes at a local educational centre two days a week to improve their general knowledge. They spend the other three days at bpost, learning the ins and outs of sorting and delivery on the job. Driving lessons are available to non-drivers. By the end of the year, successful participants have a secondary school diploma, a category B driver’s license and a permanent employment contract at bpost.

Duo for a Job

Another program gives jobseekers the opportunity to train on the job. Those who need to improve their language skills can sign up to a dedicated course. A language coach will support them so they can get to a standard that allows them to perform their duties well. Improving their language skills also gives a boost to their self-confidence. Successful participants earn a permanent employment contract at bpost. Duo for a Job also caters to young jobseekers from a migration background who are looking for a guide in their search for a job. Experienced bpost managers are given the time and space to take on this role.
